Accrediting learning. Empowering professionals.

International CPD

Is CPD required in the UAE and Gulf states?

Short answer

CPD requirements in the Gulf are set by sector regulators and licensing authorities rather than by a single national body, and are well established in healthcare, education and financial services. Requirements differ between emirates and between countries, so licence conditions should be checked with the issuing authority.

Health authorities in the region operate structured CPD systems tied directly to professional licence renewal, and education authorities increasingly set expectations for teaching staff in licensed schools.

For internationally mobile professionals, verifiable accreditation matters more than usual here: authorities assessing a foreign-earned record need to confirm it independently, and a checkable accreditation number is the fastest route to that.
