Accrediting learning. Empowering professionals.

Most accreditation bodies in this market ask you to contact sales before they will name a figure. Ours are on this page. Provider registration is free; you pay per activity assessed, and the rate depends on the format because the assessment work does.

Annual plans

Start free. Move to a plan when the volume justifies it.

Most providers never need a plan — they register free and pay per activity. Plans exist because pooling an allowance across formats works out cheaper once you are submitting ten or more items a year.

Nine formats, nine rates

A podcast episode is not a twelve-module diploma, and pricing them the same would be dishonest in one direction or the other. Each format is priced against the assessment work it actually takes.

Renewal is 60% of the current list price for that activity (55% on the Academy plan). Custom-quoted tiers are scoped in writing before any work begins.

What the fee pays for

It pays for assessment — an assessor reading your activity against the published standard and writing up what they found. It is not a licence fee for a logo, and it is not a subscription that renews whether or not anyone looks at your work.

That distinction matters commercially. A body charging a flat annual fee for unlimited activities has no incentive to read any of them, which is why blanket accreditation is cheaper. We price per item because we assess per item.

Included in every fee

  • Individual assessment against the five published tests
  • A written report identifying anything that falls short
  • One resubmission, at no additional charge
  • A unique accreditation number and the Accredo seal
  • A public register listing for the full accreditation period
  • Unlimited learner certificates during that period

Never charged for

  • Provider registration
  • Written assessment feedback
  • One resubmission per activity
  • Public register listing
  • Verification lookups, for anyone
  • Certificate templates

What can increase the price

A quoted figure moves above list in three situations, and we say so before starting: an activity substantially longer than its category norm (a twelve-module programme submitted as one course), material supplied in a language requiring translated documentation, and expedited assessment where you need an outcome inside five working days.

What we will tell you not to buy

If your activity does not need accreditation — because your professional body already approves it, or because it is a regulated qualification matter rather than a CPD one — we will say so rather than take the fee. It happens often enough to be worth stating.

Market context

How this compares

You are going to price-check us, so here is the shape of the market as of mid-2026, based on publicly listed rates from other accreditation bodies.

£200 – £600 Typical single-course rate across UK bodies that publish prices
£130 – £250 Typical per-course rate once bulk tiers are applied
60 – 80% Usual renewal fee, as a share of the original assessment cost
£150 Common one-off fee for a personal trainer credential, often plus a monthly subscription

Two things worth watching when you compare. First, whether the fee buys assessment or just listing — a flat annual fee covering unlimited activities means nobody is reading them. Second, whether there is a per-certificate or per-learner charge on top; several platforms bill per certificate issued, which changes the total materially once volumes rise. We do neither.

Testimonials

What accredited providers say

We accredit around forty courses a year. Every one gets read by a person, and we can point clients at a register entry rather than asking them to take our word for it.

Placeholder Name Managing Director, Placeholder Academy United Arab Emirates

The assessment feedback was the useful part. Our first submission came back with three specific points about learning objectives, and fixing them made the course genuinely better — not just accreditable.

Placeholder Name Head of Learning, Placeholder Training Ltd United Kingdom

Delegates ask about CPD hours before they ask about the speakers. Having an assessed figure on the certificate removed the single biggest objection in our registration flow.

Pricing questions

Before you commit

How much does CPD accreditation cost?

Accredo provider registration is free. Activity accreditation is priced per item: courses from £295, e-learning from £345, webinars from £175, events from £395, podcasts from £95 per episode, publications from £145 per article, and trainer accreditation from £145 per year. Bulk rates reduce the per-activity cost substantially.

Is there a fee just to be listed as a provider?

No. Provider registration and the public register listing are free and carry no annual fee. You pay only when you submit an activity for assessment or renew an existing accreditation.

What does the fee actually pay for?

The fee pays for assessment: an assessor reads the activity against the published standard and writes up the outcome. It is not a licence fee for a logo. Written feedback and one resubmission are included, so a submission that does not pass first time costs nothing extra to fix.

How much does renewal cost?

Renewal is 60% of the current list price for that activity, or 55% on the Academy plan. Renewal confirms the content is still accurate and re-assesses any material changes made during the year.

Do you charge per certificate issued?

No. Once an activity is accredited you may issue unlimited certificates for it during the accreditation period at no additional cost. Verification lookups are also free, for anyone, with no account required.

Are the prices inclusive of VAT?

Prices are shown excluding VAT. UK VAT is added where applicable. Providers outside the UK are generally invoiced without UK VAT, subject to the rules in force at the time of invoicing.
