How does the CPD accreditation assessment work?
Short answer
The provider registers, submits the activity with its objectives, materials, duration and trainer credentials, and an assessor reviews it against the published standard. Most complete submissions receive an outcome within two to three weeks. Approved activities receive a unique accreditation number, a seal, and a public register listing.
Accredo applies five tests to every submission: purpose (are the objectives specific and measurable), accuracy (is the content correct, current and sourced), relevance (does it serve a defined professional audience), delivery (is the format and duration right for the material), and evidence (can completion and learning be demonstrated).
Where a submission falls short, the provider receives written feedback identifying exactly what to strengthen, and one resubmission is included. Failing quietly helps nobody; the point of assessment is to raise the activity, not to bank the fee.
