Accrediting learning. Empowering professionals.

For learners and employers

How do I choose CPD training that will count?

Short answer

Check four things before booking: that the activity states specific learning outcomes, that its CPD hours are declared, that it carries a verifiable accreditation number, and that your own professional body accepts the activity type. If any of the four is missing, confirm with your body before paying.

Relevance to your scope of practice matters as much as accreditation. An excellent course outside your field still counts as learning, but a regulator asking how it developed your practice will want an answer.

Where your body maintains its own approved list, start there. Where it does not, an independently accredited activity with a published hours value is the most defensible choice.
