How do I get a conference or event CPD accredited?
Short answer
Submit the draft programme with session descriptions, speaker credentials and timings at least four weeks before the event. Assessment agrees a CPD hours value for the educational content — excluding breaks, meals and networking — and approved events can issue verifiable certificates to delegates.
Events are assessed session by session where the programme is mixed. A day combining technical sessions with a sponsor showcase and a drinks reception will be accredited for the technical content only, which is usually a smaller number than organisers first expect.
Attendance evidence is the other assessed element: you need a defensible way of confirming who was actually present, whether that is scanned badges, a signed register or platform analytics for virtual attendance.
