Can AI-generated courses be CPD accredited?
Short answer
Yes, on exactly the same terms as any other course. Assessment examines the finished activity — accuracy, depth, structure, currency and learning value. Material that passes those tests is accreditable regardless of how it was produced; material that fails them is not, however it was made.
In practice, AI-assisted material fails assessment for characteristic reasons: confident but unsourced claims, examples that do not survive checking, a level that drifts between beginner and specialist, and objectives that read as topics. None of these are unique to AI, but they cluster.
Providers using AI in production should budget for subject-expert review before submission. The assessment is not looking for a human origin story; it is looking for material that is right.
